Our
20,000 acre main lease in central Montana is home to abundant wildlife
year round. Habitat ranges from timbered plateaus
and
mountain foothills to prairie pastures, creek bottoms, river bottom,
hayfields, and several thousand acres of grain fields. We are
also permitted to outfit for specialized hunts on several large public
lands areas in southwest Montana. This combination of
operating
area is the best for getting into plentiful and varied game!
The
excessive predation by wolves in western Montana has not occurred in
our part of the state.
All hunts are guided, and fair chase.
Guide ratio is two hunters per guide, or a single hunter per
guide. We welcome young hunters with their parents.
Most
hunts involve travel by vehicle, and hunting on foot. Terrain
is
such that we can accommodate hunters with limited mobility.
Horses are used in unique locations. All hunts
include a
fully equipped camp with heated sleeping quarters. Main camp
features a comfortable lodge located on the ranch. Lodging
and
home cooked meals are provided. Caping of trophies and
preparation of meat for processing is included as part of your guided
hunt. Bring your weapon, a sleeping bag, and hunting clothes;
we’ll take care of the rest. Click on the links at left for
more
details on specific hunts.
Through the Musselshell
Hunt Club, we offer a non-guided hunting
opportunity, learn more. |
| I'm blessed to make a living doing what I like best, and sharing it with other people. I've been
guiding in southwest and central Montana for over thirty years, a
licensed outfitter since 1971. Outfitting is my full-time
occupation. I'm working with and observing nature in one activity or
another every month of the year. Ours is a family business, with my
wife, our daughters, and myself working together with our hardworking
and congenial crew, to show you the trip of a lifetime, in some of the
prettiest country in North America! - Monte Schnur |
