Upland Bird & Waterfowl Hunts
 Located on the western edge of the Central Flyway, our main
lease is home to numerous Hungarian partridge coveys, as well as a stable
population of sharptail grouse, turkeys, some ruffed grouse, and a smaller
population of pheasants. Sandhill
cranes, mallards, and Canada
geese arrive in April and stay into fall.
Late in September, thousands of northern ducks and geese begin to stop
over on their way south. This migration
intensifies into the middle of November.
The primary lease is close to 20,000 acres of river bottom,
creek bottom, hayfields, prairie pasture, foothill benches, and
grainfields. This varied habitat
provides ideal nesting, feeding, and roosting cover. About 7,000 acres of grain are harvested
every year, providing a great resting and feeding stop for migrating waterfowl.
Our guides are serious bird hunters who work year-round with
their dogs. You are accommodated in comfort at our large lodge. Home-cooked meals are prepared fresh at the
lodge every day. Fishing, varmint shooting, and big game watching are popular
activities to fill in spare hours when you’re not bird hunting.

Turkey
licenses and sandhill crane licenses are purchased online or by mail prior to
the season opening. Check with us for
